Applications are invited for the post of a permanent Teaching Intensive Lecturer position in Environmental Management (subject to successful completion of probation). The appointee will contribute to teaching and research in the area of Environmental Management and related fields, with associated responsibilities relating to administration and outreach. We would be particularly interested to receive applications from candidates with a strong interest and knowledge of professional practice in the field of environmental management and sustainability, nature conservation and quantitative research methods. The appointee will be expected to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. The School offers a BSc programme in Environmental Management and Sustainability, an MSc by Research in Agriculture, Ecology & Environment and contributes to teaching on the MSc Environmental Management.
The appointee will join the Department of Sustainable Land Management which sits within the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development (SAPD) of the University of Reading. The School is global in its outlook and has an international reputation for both teaching and research. It was recently ranked 16th in the World QS subject rankings for Agriculture and Forestry in 2023 and 1st in the UK. Within the University of Reading, SAPD has research links with the Schools of Biological Sciences, Geography & Environmental Science, Food & Nutritional Sciences, Psychology and Henley Business School and has an established reputation for inter-disciplinary research.
